The Basics of a Feng Shui in the Bedroom
Feng Shui is an ancient and complex Chinese science that takes years to master. By arranging the furniture in your room to maximize the flow of positive energy you can improve your mood, reduce stress, and even become more successful in your daily life. There are many different elements that go into creating the proper flow of energy in your home, especially your bedroom. Your bedroom is your resting place and it is vital that you take the steps necessary to create a relaxing and environment. Though Feng Shui takes time to master, there are a few basic principles that you can in order to help increase the flow of energy.
Start with the most important part of your bedroom: your bed. Your bed is the focal point of the entire room and you need to
make sure it is easily accessible on both sides. Don’t push the sides of your bed up against the wall as this will block the flow of energy. Try to keep your bed in line with the bedroom door if possible and keep headboards flush against the wall. It is also helpful to balance your bed by having bedside tables on both sides of the bed.
Do your best to eliminate distractions and clutter where you can. While it may seem like a luxury to have a TV in your bedroom, doing without one is much better for the energy in your room. Your bedroom should be a peaceful place and should be free of the chaos that a TV can bring. The same can be said of personal computers and exercise equipment. Leave these items for your living room and dedicate your bedroom to yourself.
Try to incorporate as many natural elements into your bedroom as possible. Opt for natural light as opposed to electronic lighting whenever possible. Leave the shades open and allow your room to be filled with sunlight during the day. Also do your best to keep your windows open to help increase the flow of fresh air into your room. Quality air will breathe new life into your stuffy bedroom and will help keep your body energized and healthy.
Once you apply these basic Feng Shui guidelines to your bedroom, then you can begin to discover all of the mental and
physical health benefits that this ancient science has to offer. As you begin to learn the finer points of this fascinating practice, you can start taking the steps necessary to insure that you are doing everything in your power to keep a happy and healthy home.
