10 Little Things That Can Make You Happy
There are a lot of things that make us happy, that make us smile. But then what about all those sweet little things, those apparently unimportant and often disregarded things that bring happiness to our life?
Here is a happy-to do-list of the small things that make me happy:
1.Helping others to feel good. Give a Helping Hand and Feel Good About Yourself. We all have
busy lives, but if we stopped and helped others a little more often, we would live a much more fulfilling life and build that sense of community that we have long lost.
2. The holidays. Holidays are always a happy time, mainly because it is a time to get together with friends and family. The holiday season can be one of the most joyful times of year, centered as it is on family, fun, food and generosity.
3. Love. Love is the most important feeling in life, and it does not take money to find it.
4. Reading a really good book. I love reading through a fantastic story or an in depth text book and then reaching the last page. There is always a feeling of sadness tied in with this happiness because you don’t want good books to end, but the overall feeling is happiness.
5. Succeeding in a goal I have set for myself. I’ve set several goals for myself back in high school and have accomplished almost all of them. For each one that I’ve completed I felt very happy and accomplished. So I’ve created several new goals which I’m currently working on. When I complete them, I’m sure I will feel equally as happy.
6. Spending time with my family or friends. Spending time with or talking with family members is always a sure way to bring myself happiness. It just makes me happy and carefree and forget about all the other things I need to do.
7. Solving a brain teaser, puzzle, or various other intellectual challenge. Nothing says “I’m an egghead” like figuring out some complex puzzle that nobody else knows and deriving pleasure from doing so. Good times.
8. Nice weather. A nice sunny day or a wonderful sunshine can make all my problems seem to
disappear.
9. Exercise. A good workout, whether it’s running, riding my bike, or getting my ass handed to me in FitCamp, it doesn’t matter. A good workout makes me happy.
10. Music. Music alone can put me in a state of well-being. There is nothing better that live music turned up as loud as it goes.

Really great post here. These tips work and I will continue to use most of the ones you have here. These are simple yet very effective tools to make you happy. It’s interesting the simple things in life are sometimes the best things we experience in the moment.
These are all nice and so true! I try to fulfill something like this when I’m down, and I find that doing nice things for other people is a great way to distract your depression and elevate your mood easily. This is really cool – thank you
